With an experience of 10+ years, Advocate Shailesh Joshi has dealt with an array of matters in family law. He has succcessfully resolved several family cases that plague the society including dowry, domestic violence, maintenance and child custody. His extensive expertise in this field has taken him across the length and breadth of India where he handles cases in more than 20 states.
In addition to being a leading lawyer, Advocate Joshi has also founded the Shailesh Joshi Yuva Manch which is involved in social work like catering to orphans, the elderly and the needy. His last Diwali was spent with children of an orphanage in Akola, where he gifted sweets, shawls and firecrackers. He also visited the Aastha Matoshree Foundation Old Age Home where he presented shawls and food items to the elderly.
Another major initiative is the launch of the movement “Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar”. Freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar had dedicated his life to the nation and in doing so had been incarcerated in the Cellular jail at Andaman for a period of 10 years. Being a staunch follower of Savarkar, Advocate Shailesh Joshi visited the Andaman islands in September 2017, where he gathered the support of local lawyers and launched this movement from the Cellular Jail. This launch was also reported in major Indian newspapers like the Navbharat Times.
In this regard, Mr. Joshi also met the Governor of the islands. He also submitted a petition to the Prime Minister to honour Veer Savarkar with the Bharat Ratna and erect a grand statue of the great revolutionary in the premises of Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport.
Through legal and social efforts, Advocate Shailesh Joshi is a role model for social reform in India.
